ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Residents of the Adina Donovan Home are currently in full Christmas mode thanks to the many persons and entities that have been visiting the facility on a daily basis to spread cheers through the singing of carols and giving of gifts.

According to Manager of the home, Victoria Wheatley, the institution has already been visited by a number of community groups, churches, hospital staff and business entities while a couple of bands have also stopped by to put the residents in the Christmas of yesteryear mood.

Ms. Wheatley further said that a Rotary Club is visiting today while tomorrow Delta Petroleum will be at the home. Other groups that have indicated their desire to visit the Adina Donovan Home are the Agape Total Life Centre, St. Ursulla’s Group, BVI Ports Authority and Road Town Wholesale.

“The residents love it. They are enjoying the music of the bands, the carolling, they are really enjoying every moment of it. It really helps to bring back memories of Christmas for them and is a major boost for the Home,” Ms. Wheatley told Virgin Islands News Online.

The manager expressed appreciation to all those who have visited and have indicated their intentions of visiting for the holidays. She said that the residents have also been getting presents such as slippers, towels, candy canes, fruit baskets, scarves and T-shirts.

Meanwhile, the Home would be having its Christmas party on December 17 while a special menu will be prepared for Christmas Day when the management and staff will get their turn to shower cheers and presents on the senior citizens.
