DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI – The boys of the Willard Wheatley Primary School made it known that their first title came by no fluke as they stood strong as a team to once again take the championship trophy of the Jelani N. Lettsome Memorial Bowling Tournament.

The finals were held yesterday, October 29, 2016 at the Save the Seed Energy Centre’s bowling hall in Duff’s Bottom where among several primary schools participated.

The tournament was staged by the Mentoring Anointed Leaders Everywhere (MALE) headed by Mr Henderson K. Tittle.

Three schools made it to the finals after the first leg of the tournament was held some weeks ago to take on the defending champions Willard Wheatley Primary. The schools were Alexandrina Maduro Primary, St George’s Primary and Althea Scatliffe Primary.

St George’s Primary placed 2nd, Alexandrina Maduro 3rd and Althea Scatliffe 4th.

President of M.A.L.E. Pastor Henderson K. Tittle had said Jelani N. Lettsome was one of the boys in the M.A.L.E. programme who passed away in 2014 and they were committed to doing the bowling tournament in his honour as a yearly event.
