Wrong and Misleading; too old to be intimidated

I feel it very important that I address this issue about passports on the radio station this morning, June 19, 2018, which was a joint release by GIS (Government Information Service) and DDM (Department of Disaster Management).

It stated clearly that British Passports have to be applied for online and that is a blatant lie. I can say that because a few months ago I renewed my daughter’s British passport right here.

The problem is, the vast majority of residents do not know what a British passport is—even the people that work in the Passport Office. When I went to renew my daughter’s passport, I asked for an application form for a British passport and it took them a while to understand what I wanted.

It was only after I showed them the expired passport, where it said British Passport at the top and the Virgin Islands at the bottom. My daughter also has a UK passport which has to be renewed online. How do we expect others to do better when we continue to feed them wrong information?

I would like to ask all of you that read this and for the news media to verify what I have written and tell me that I am wrong.
