ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Courtney Fahie pleaded not guilty to the charges of criminal trespass and being armed with an offensive weapon when he appeared at the Magistrate’s Court at John’s Hole today December 7, 2011.

It is alleged that on November 19, 2011 at Hope Hill, the defendant entered the home of a woman without her consent. Fahie was also charged for using threatening language, however, the Crown has decided not to offer evidence for that case.

The Prosecution stated that the woman told Police that she was asleep in her bedroom when she heard a sound and awoke to find the defendant in her bedroom with gloves on and a knife in hand. It was further said that the woman shouted for a relative, who also saw the defendant before he (defendant) ran out of the house, allegedly leaving the knife behind. The knife was reportedly recovered in the woman’s closet.

The defendant, who was granted bail, allegedly told police that the VC had called him to her house to talk. Question about the knife, the defendant reportedly told police that he uses it to do his work.
