Woman sexually assaulted in Huntums Ghut

A report was made to the Road Town police station.
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Information reaching Virgin Islands News Online indicate that a young woman was sexually assaulted while walking in the Huntums Ghut community sometime Tuesday, November 22, 2011.

Police spokeswoman Diana Drayton did confirm that police are investigating a report of the assault, but could not reveal any more details.

However, VINO understands that the assault was committed sometime "late in the afternoon" by a lone individual.

VINO will provide more details as the information becomes available.
