CHARLOTTE — Police in the US Virgin Islands (USVI) on Monday October 10, 2016 arrested a woman and charged her with third-degree assault for stabbing another woman multiple times about her body, V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced on October 11, 2016.

According to Ms Freeman, the suspect, 34-year-old Nisha England, was placed under arrest and later remanded to the Bureau of Corrections after the victim made known to police that Ms England was the one who stabbed her with an unknown object in her face, neck and both hands. The victim was rushed to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital, treated for her injuries and later released.

Ms England, waiving her Miranda rights, admitted to police that she had indeed stabbed the victim.

Unable to make bail of $25,000, Ms England was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advise-of-rights hearing.
