ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Designed to stimulate and test the knowledge of Class 5 and high school students in financial services, Money Matters BVI- the official brand of the Financial Literacy Programme of the BVI Financial Services Commission- recently partnered with ZBVI Radio to conduct its second radio quiz of 2013.

The quiz was conducted during the week of November 11-15, 2013 on the station’s “General Knowledge Quiz” programme.

At the end of the week, five students emerged as winners as there was a different winner on each day.

The Monday winner was Kelston King of ESHS; Tuesday- Rakeel Turnbull of ESHS; Wednesday- Nasheema Henry of SDA Secondary; Thursday - Timothy Malone of St. Georges Secondary; and Friday- Jada Samuel of St. Georges Secondary.

The prize-giving ceremony to recognize the winners was held on Tuesday November 19, 2013 in the lobby of FSC’s main building in Pasea Estate.

In attendance at the ceremony were Mr Malvin Barry, host of ZBVI’s morning Devotions;  a few parents and 3 members of the Money Matters Team- Ms Natoya Frett, Ms Khiayah Doward and Mr Melvin A. Turnbull.

Money Matters BVI is part of the Commission’s Financial Literacy Programme, which has as one of its objectives to provide guidance to the VI public on the basics of finance and how to manage their money as well as their general estate.
