GREENLAND, Tortola, VI -The BVI Football Association (BVIFA) 9-a-side kicked off on Sunday September 27, 2015 at the Greenland Playfield with the Panthers Women holding off the Ballstarz to a nil nil draw.

Lilly Pierce was named the Lucozade Female player of the Week.

BVIFA President Mr Andy Bickerton and BVIFA 2nd Vice President Mrs Shereen Flax Charles welcomed the crowd and assembled players.

After the first game, the men took to the field with the Wolues FC beating the Ballstarz F.C. 2-1.

Kevin Carragher and Alonso Passo put the Wolues up two before Kevaughn Watson pulled one back from the penalty spot.

In the second men’s game, Islanders F.C. and Rebels F.C. drew 2-2 with Rohan Lenon and Fitzroy Daley scoring for the Islanders. Rohan Sweeney and Omar Elliston were the scorers for the Rebels.

The Lucozade Players of the Week for games ending Sunday were Andre Gaymes "Dj Dre" of the Wolues F.C. and Lilly Pierce of Ballstars, as decided upon by the BVIFA Competition Committee and will be recognised by the BVIFA at the games on Sunday October 4, 2015.

The Wednesday night (September 30, 2015) BVIFA 9-a-side match between Group A rivals Sugar Boyz and Virgin Gorda United will take place on the Virgin Gorda Recreation Ground at 7.30pm, whilst the schedule for next weekend, Sunday October 4, 2015, pits VG United Girls v Ballstarz Ladies at 4pm followed by Panthers Women against Avengers at 5pm.

At 6.00pm, the Panthers F.C men face Islanders F.C and at 7.30pm Old Madrid face Rebels F.C.
