What about a public restroom for Anegada? - Tourist
Ms Restige related that she was on a day tour of the island recently with two young children and her aged mother and that it was not until she went to one of the resorts or a private business place that they were able to access a toilet. "Not a full restroom, only toilets we were able to go to and that's not very good for such an attractive place," she told Virgin Islands News Online via telephone from Texas, USA last evening June 16, 2015.
"I don't know the tourist authority so I chose to call the news site as I understand everyone reads this site and I am pretty sure the right people will get the concern. My concern is genuine, not to blast anyone but just to suggest how one little thing can make a big difference on Anegada. I absolutely love the place and will be back to spend some money and longer time there. In fact we are looking at bringing my daughter's wedding party there and honeymoon."
Ms Restige did admit to being told of a toilet facility on the dock area, however. "That is not good enough for a tourist distinction. I love the BVI, it's my third time there. I've been to Virgin Gorda two times before, amazing, beautiful, peaceful, the people are very hospitable and friendly. I would always recommend the BVI," she said.
Similar concerns raised before
This is not the first person to have openly raised this concern about the absence of a public restroom facility on Anegada.
During the recent elections campaign season, one Mr Vanterpool and a candidate Mr Vernon V. Vanterpool had both spoken of this concern.
Mr Vernon V. Vanterpool had cause to take a reporter and others to his private place to use a toilet while they were there on island. "This is one of the things I have been pushing for a long time but I don't know why no one is listening. I do this all the time; bring people to my place because I can't leave them to stoop in the bushes on the road side. We need a proper restroom, if possible two at least," he had told this news site.
The other Vanterpool, who didn’t want his first name published, had engaged former Second District representative Mr J. Alvin Christopher on the concern. The concern was also shared with Ms Faye J. Reece, Natalio D. Wheatley and other members of the People's Empowerment Party (PEP) who were out campaigning in Anegada at the time.

never look back. The person them paying to look after
it lives in the settlement and don't drive or have a car,
When you arrive by ferry and need to use it, you have
to go in the settlement get a key and come back by the dock.
What a joke by a Government.
a cosmic BBC comedy show, 'xept it's not funny when you live here...
