Weekend brawl at local bar leaves one with broken leg
The fight between Mr. Rosan and a Stephen L. France occurred after midnight in the early hours of the morning of Sunday February 26, 2012 while both men were at the bar. Information surrounding the cause of the fight remains unclear, but one eye witness who spoke to Virgin Islands News Online said it appeared that Mr. Rosan was sitting in an area and he got up and Mr. France may have believed he had left and sat in the same seat.
On Mr. Rosan’s return, he requested his seat and Mr. France allegedly refused to move which resulted in a pushing match. It is not clear who threw the first punch, however, there was a scuffle with Mr. Rosan receiving a blow to the face and ended up with a broken leg.
Many of the persons in the immediate area moved in to stop the fight.Mr. Rosan was then rushed to Peebles hospital after lying on the floor at the bar for a while. Up to publication time, this news site understands that he is currently awaiting surgery for the broken leg.
It is also reported that Mr. France was not injured.
Police are said to be investigating the matter and this news site will have more information as it becomes available.
