ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - From last evening July 19, 2012, an unstable atmosphere will continue to linger across the area over the next 24 hours.

Below is the latest weather update issued by the Department for Disaster Management.

Synopsis #2: 19th July 2012 - An unstable atmosphere will continue to linger across the area over the next 24 hours as pockets of moisture continue to move across the islands on the trade wind flow in addition to lingering moisture from a tropical wave.

Wx: Mostly cloudy skies tonight and tomorrow with periods of scattered showers, some of which could be moderate to heavy at times.

Winds: E at 14-22kts over land, increasing to near 26kts over open waters and in heavier showers..

Seas: Moderate to locally rough, swells 1.5-2.1m or 5-7ft. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution against rough sea condition..

Barometric Pressure: Near normal.
