ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – In the High Court of the Virgin Islands (VI) yesterday November 21, 2014 Justice Nichole Byer heard Kenyatta Boynes confessing to dealing Aaron Henley a blow so forceful that it broke his jaw bone which today has him walking around with foreign reconstructive objects in his face as part of the repairs made.

It was an incident that occurred on Saturday August 2, 2012 in the Lower Estate area according to Senior Crown Counsel Leslie Ann Faulker. She told the court that the victim was riding a scooter in the Lower Estate area when he noticed the accused on the side of the road and as he got closer he overheard the accused calling out to another person whose name was called in the court.

As the victim got in range of the accused he stepped out in the path of the victim and dealt him a blow to his face so hard that he was immediately in much pain and his face immediately was swollen.

The episode didn’t stop there as the accused once again called out the other person and the victim was ordered to stop and get off his bike which he complied and Boynes proceeded to take away the bike and leave the scene.

When Boynes was given the opportunity to say something in court he told the Judge that it was not a situation where he had a bad moment of feeling to do something stupid but rather that he and the virtual compliant had an issue as it related to another bike belonging to the Boynes that was ‘mashed up” by the victim.

However on the advice of the court he was cautioned not to go into that aspect of things as it had no relevance in the presenting case. He further promised the judge that was an action at is not indicative to the usual person he is and that he was deeply sorry that he ever did take such a course of action.

Boynes who is the owner and manager of his own business, the father of two children, and a belonger having been born in the USA was given the lighter side of judgment getting a non-custodial sentence. He was fined $2K which has to be paid in two months or in default one year in prison. He is also to compensate the victim $1,500 payable in six month or three months in prison.

He came up into a good house; which is different to a good home................. A good home is one in which the parents instill values in their children; teach them to work hard and to be model citizens.......

Mr. Boynes is a grown MAN, even if his parents did "instilled values" into him, at this point he's making his own decisions. I don't know why people always quick to blame the parents.

Because these "Children" didn't make or raise themselves!!! You instill certain values in your children from young!

wow, go easy. Ken and Jeanette are good people. Go easy on the condemnation he is still human, like all of us, prone to mistakes. No one with a good heart wishes jail for another person. The guy just making bad decisions, hope this time he gets his act together.

I always find it funny when ignorance displays itself in jealously, envy, name calling, and hateful words. Ever consider the fact that just like how you are judging someone, in the same way you will be judged? Just what you wish for someone else loved one will surely come to one of your loved ones. Did you live in this person's home to know how they were raised? Did you ever consider for one minute the pain his Mother may suffer seeing her son behaving in such a self destructive manner? Who the hell do you think you are defaming the character of his parents? Do you think their achievements fell out of the sky into their laps? Thank God that some of you who are commenting on here are living in the times of God's Grace, because it is obvious you need Jesus. Talking bout people you are simply jealous of and don't really know? "Let anyone who is without Sin, cast the 1st stone". Which one of you can do it?
