ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Operators from the Water and Sewerage Department are now on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to residents’ complaints related to water services.

Director of the Water and Sewage Department, Mrs Perline Scatliffe-Leonard said the 24/7 Operators Service was implemented to respond to the water complaints of customers, throughout the work day but especially afterhours 3:30pm to 7:30am during weekdays and on weekends.

Mrs Scatliffe-Leonard said operators are required to repair small lines and make adjustments in the system as needed. She invited residents who are not customers to also utilise the service to report leaks in the system.

The director added that the operators are required to manage and monitor the distribution system around the clock, examine reservoirs, pressures in the system and leak prone areas on a daily basis. Operators may be contacted at 499-0500, 499-2924 or 499-2620.

For more information, persons should telephone the Water and Sewerage Department at 468-5834 or 468-9062 Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
