‘Walwyn is the most divisive politician in BVI history’- Skelton-Cline
Mr Skelton-Cline was at the time speaking on Saturday, January 26, 2019, in Capoon’s Bay on Tortola, as Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) presented his State of the District Speech.
Mr Skelton-Cline, a former Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority stated that Mr Walwyn's politics is of “deliberate division.” He continued, “He has come this time around with his dog whistle politics putting locals against expats, our brothers and sisters from the Caribbean islands are our mothers, bothers, wives, we are married to them, why is he doing this?” the man of the cloth asked to thunderous applauds.
Walwyn Means Divide & Conquer
He said Mr Walwyn has “broken up the NDP with his divisive politics, chasing three founding members away from the party” and how “could a person like him—committed to divide and conquer—be the Premier.”
If that was not enough, according to Skelton-Cline, Mr Walwyn has now started to divide us from our neighbours in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI), “talking foolishness about they are eating our lunch.”
Hon Walwyn, whose parents are not from the Virgin Islands (VI), has a history of bullying, victimization and divisive politics. He continues to dislocate qualified Virgin Islanders and hire expats to fill public sector posts, most recently, the VI Technical School where he hired a Jamaican over other qualified locals and at Her Majesty’s Prison where he hired a St. Lucian instead of a local.
Walwyn no Good for one BVI - Skelton-Cline
In his continuous efforts to divide the Territory, Mr Walwyn told educators a few years ago that “we could do nothing else to protect locals.”
Hon Walwyn is currently under police investigation for a small wall he built around the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) with a price tag of $1.6M.
The Auditor General, Ms Sonia M. Webster in a report stated that the project was corrupt, no value for money, breaking of laws and that some contractors were paid, however, the work is still to be completed.

We all know you have an axe to grind because your contract at the Port was not renewed and you were being held acciuntable for the Pier Park over-run. Talk that. You keep bringing up this devisive story like a broken record.
We get it go siddung. We tired of you now.
We the expatriats that have rights to vote know deep within that the VIP do not support us. So when ever comments are being made like take our country back, we need to look out for our people they are talking to us but in a smart way.
Not good optics Andrew as you stand to lose voters like myself.
