As a BVIslander, it is sad to see our territory finding any way to connect someone to the BVI only when it makes us look good.

You are not a BVIslander. Every country take the opportunity to big up their country and it's people. it only becomes a problem when the BVI does it. All some people wants for the BVI is negativity.

I agree with you. However, I don't think that the story is news worthy.

It is an honor to have been a Guard at Civil Rights Movement, Mr. John R. Lewis Funeral. Mr. Lewis was world known for his dedication and fight for Black People. He was so abused, mistreated, arrested and made to suffer at the hands of the United States Government. Since one of our own BVI family received this honor, no matter if we know him or not, we are very proud he was able to be there. Thank you Police Officer Christopher for guarding the body of a TRUE LEGEND, My. John R. Lewis.

There are many descendants of the BVI living in the US that are doing fantastic things and making BVI proud. Ambassador Todman was one of those persons. His mother was from Carrot Bay. BIG UP BVI
