VI’s Leroy A. E. Abraham appointed Chairman of CARILEC

CASTRIES, St. Lucia - General Manager of the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC), Mr Leroy A.E. Abraham, has been appointed Chairman of the Board at the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC).

Mr Abraham, who previously served as Vice-Chairman, was appointed given the retirement of the previous Board Chairman, Mr Eddington Powell which took effect on December 31, 2020.

As part of the hierarchical adjustments to CARILEC’s board, Mr Roger Blackman of the Barbados Light and Power Ltd (BL&P) will now serve as the new Vice-Chairman.

CARILEC is an association of electric energy solutions providers and other stakeholders operating in the electricity industry in the Caribbean, Central and South America region.

The association will have its next Annual General Meeting in May 2021.
