ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Former Opposition Leader and Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP), Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) during his 2019 New Year’s Address says his party worked hard to assemble the team that will contest the 2019 General Elections.

According to Hon Fahie, the party now has, “A team where each of the thirteen members can adequately represent the people of the Virgin Islands locally, regionally, and internationally.”

He says that with the support of the people of the Virgin Islands (VI), the VIP team is poised to lead the Territory through what he calls, “challenges ahead”.

Worked relentlessly

“The Virgin Islands Party has been working relentlessly over the past months to assemble a capable and dedicated team to lead this charge. A team that you know, a team that you can trust, and a team in which each member has been battle tested in their own right and came out refined and better than before,” Hon Fahie underscored in his address.

“We will walk side by side, shoulder to shoulder and together, we will emerge on the other side to a brighter day,” the former Opposition Leader uttered.

He says that the VIP team believes, that when the voices of the people are listened to, only then, “more solutions will be birthed.”

He however notes, that the development of any country requires and entails the development of its people alongside its economy and infrastructure.

Elections Team, perhaps but is it a "electable" team???

If Willox was a powerhouse, he would have been on the team.
He should have stuck with Fraser.

I like these Guys but this is a completely new team. Are they just being initiated into what politics is all about? Would there be a time given for apprenticeship if they win?? Can we afford this time??

And you have asked the relevant question. Some of them so green it’ll take a miracle to ripen them and get them ready for the job. Force ripe was never a good thing.

Kudos to Andrew for being able to assemble a capable team with a strong background in civil service and business with a representative for each district. This is when some were questioning his and the VIP’s ability to do that but now they are the only party to have a complete slate that gives them a play in every race and a greater opportunity of getting a majority.

Need to come forward with their ideas, solutions and initiatives to first stabilize this country and then move this country forward. I am a independent voter yearning for change but it must be substantial and long term foundational change.

Judge the VIP when your party is perfect. Seize the time. Change must come.
