ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Virgin Islands Party (VIP), the only party that has a full slate of 13 candidates to contest the 2019 polls, will this evening Tuesday, February 19, 2019, launch its political manifesto.

Chairman of the VIP, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) made the announcement last evening in a social media invitation while calling the document the “National Agenda.”

The event is scheduled to take place at 5:00 PM at the Village Cay Marina and Hotel Conference Room in Road Town and is opened to the public.

Secret?

While our news centre was unable to obtain an advance copy of the document, the National Democratic Party 1 (NDP1) has last week launched their manifesto and the breakaway group called the Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM) aka ‘NDP2’ has also launched what they described as their “ business plan” for the Territory.

Progressives United (PU) is yet to launch a Manifesto, however, their leader, Hon Julian Fraser RA (R3) has outlined and shared several plans if a PU administration forms part of the Government after the February 25, 2019, General Elections.

waste of a time you wait 2 days before election to present to the public ,which means there were no intention to present a manifesto. rush this is how the VIP will run the country if if they win election .waste of time.

All parties recently issued their manifesto, and what's your point?

The Government of the day give a 30 day window for campaign. Everyone was scrambling to put everything in place ahead of polling day.

      Stop complaining and VOTE!

Actually no, this is not impressive at all. Seems like they were waiting to see what the other two parties had to say in before the finalize their ideas.

Manifestos are out of vogue. They are even less valuable 6 days before a election. 4 years to prepare and parties are publishing manifestos hours before the election. WT.....

Does presenting a Manifesto makes any difference than saying or presenting one's intended Agenda. From the beginning VIP intentions were advertise in getting their Views and Commentries known. They have hold firm to repeating the said, and therefore the manifesto is just a bind contract to that. So why the b lab be ring about it being a few days before Election! People just can't get those blindfolds off their ears at all. Yes, ears(not eyes) $$$

Because it show that they are not well prepared. They are the party that was out more time was on their side.

They should have been the first to let the island know of their binding contract in writing.

At this late hour how much people will get their hands on such contract.

      It speaks volume on planning

Same O Same o For the past 20yrs. Yet we going backward.....I truly hope people like Sewande and Shareen get it . Real courageous conscious people who will fight for people and for what right .. I Wish Dancia Penn was on the VIP a sure win a stronger team .. Our 2 most critical and failing ministries are labour and agriculture . We need someone serious like a Sowande John or Carvin to run and revive them...

Remember it was Andrew plot that cost Dancia demise when she was with the VIP he plot with Fraser to get her out so he could run things then he plot against Fraser how can we trust Andrew with this country in such critical state... one member of the current VIP already said they regret giving up their post to join the VIP team because Andrew don't listen..

Manifest This and Manifest That; the country broke so how will all the manifested promises be kept: look around at all the government operated facilities most of these facilities still needs repairs
Every four years the same muck and half the stuff manifested is never done(let’s keep it real)
