ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Pageantry is something this contestant has always been interested in and with added courage and confidence in her abilities to perform, she entered the Miss BVI 2012 pageant.

With hopes of reigning over the year July 2012- July 2013, as Miss British Virgin Islands, Virgin Islands News Online presents Contestant #3 Ms. Latoya Donavon.

With this being her first pageant, the 23-year old said she has what it takes to win this pageant, being an ambassador for the VI and serving her home proudly.

Ms. Donavon is originally from the USVI, St. Thomas from the village of New Tu Tu.

She added that with the amount of confidence she has, nothing can come in her way.

Being a role model for younger girls in the Territory, she added that by entering this pageant, she can prove to the young ladies that they can strive for success no matter what.

Latoya, who currently works at Road Town Fast Ferry as a dispatcher, wishes one day to attend the University of Fayetteville in North Carolina to pursue her career in nursing.

The pageant is scheduled to take place at the Multipurpose Sports Complex on August 5, 2012.

But she is from St. Thomas. I guess she must have belonger status. She's cute though, but the cosmetologist needs to tone down on the makeup. They have too much makeup on all the girls
