ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The trial involving a Vincentian who allegedly assaulted and raped a Canadian woman between August 1 and 15, 2011, commenced behind closed doors in the High Court of the Virgin Islands today June 25, 2013.
It is alleged that Virgin Gorda resident Kenton Alexander raped and, on two occasions, indecently assaulted the VC at different locations in Virgin Gorda during the period in question.
Alexander is being represented by Attorney at law Richard Rowe and Jenifer Jarvis while the crown is being represented by Principal Crown Council Ms Tiffany Scatliffe and Senior Crown council Leslie Ann Faulkner.
The matter is being presided over by Justice Albert Redhead. The jury body was selected this morning.
