GEORGETOWN, Guyana, SA- After leading Pure Playaz to its first championship in the Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed National Basketball League two weekends ago, Ray D. Victor was not done yet as he then travelled to Guyana where he inspired the Guyana National Team to a 3-0 sweep of a Goodwill basketball series against Grenada.

In the opening game on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in the capital city Georgetown, Victor netted a game-high 39 points as the hosts convincingly won 90-73.

In game two on Saturday, December 7, 2019, the 2018 Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) champions Guyana registered a 97-76 victory to seal the series, with Victor among the leading scorers for Guyana with his 18 points.

Game three on Sunday night, December 8, 2019 saw Guyana sweeping the series with a 97-73 win. Victor top scored with 17 points.

Speaking with Virgin Islands News Online, Victor said the experience in Guyana with its national team was “exciting and a well rewarding experience” especially coming off winning the 2019 Hon Julian Fraser Save the Seed National Basketball League with Pure Playaz.

Victor noted that next for the Guyana team will be to defend the CBC Championship sometime in June 2020.

Does the BVI have any loyalty to him? How long has he resided and contributed to this territory without any type of status? Ya'll need to wake up. BVI wont have him on their national team due to the fact that he isn't a citizen, so if he chooses to play for his country kudos to him.
