VI Youth Parliament hosted second training session

PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI - Nominees for the Virgin Islands Youth Parliament participated in their second training session on June 2, 2020.

This is according to a release from the Government Information Service (GIS), which noted that presentations were made by Deputy Governor, Mr David D. Archer Jr. on the Art of Debate/Public Speaking; Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities, Honourable Kye M. Rymer and Cabinet Secretary, Ms Sandra Ward on the Role of the Cabinet vis-á-vis the House of Assembly. 

Former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mr Keith L. Flax presented on the Role of the Speaker/The Modern House of Assembly; while Leader of the Opposition, Honourable Marlon A. Penn delivered on the Art of Negotiation/Compromise.

The launching of the Virgin Islands Youth Parliament will take place on Tuesday, June 30 at 3:00 p.m. at the Breezeway of the Ralph T. O’Neal Administration Building.
