VI woman implicated in STT shooting
Fahie is today out of the hands of the Police in the USVI but not totally free as she remains on the law enforcement radar as investigations continue.
The woman was arrested and placed before the USVI Court on allegations that she was integrally involved in an incident which resulted in a man being shot in the vicinity of Nisky Center on St. Thomas, USVI.
Police on the Sister Island told this news site that Fahie and another female whose name was given as Desriee Perez were placed before the court in relation to the incident.
"They had a rights Hearing. The woman you are inquiring about Ms. Fahie had the charges dropped because the Magistrate determined that there needed to be more evidence against her. But she remains a key person of interest in this matter," said Police Chief, Jason Marsh.
Asked what were the charges, Marsh said "first-degree assault, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, aiding and abetting, accessory after the fact."
The officer said he could not release any further details as the matter is still under investigation and the two accused remain on their radar.
It was reported that sometime mid-morning on May 18 a flurry of calls were made to 911 indicating that shots were heard fired from a vehicle in the vicinity of Nisky Centre and a man was suspected to have been hit by bullets.
Persons rushed to the man who was found with what did appear to be a gunshot wound to one of his legs. He was taken to the Schneider Regional Hospital where he was treated for a non-linear threatening gunshot wound and later released.
Police did conduct investigations with the victim before he was released from the hospital.
Fahie was Contestant Number 3 and Second Runner-up in the 2010 Miss BVI Pageant. At that time, she was a 24-year-old H. Lavity Stoutt Community College student.
