VI-based movie Book of Job premieres Easter Monday @ UP’S
The movie will be shown at UP’s Cineplex at 6:45pm on Monday and will see some of the persons behind the film in attendance.
Speaking to Virgin Islands News Online, Mr Christian said the movie is about the story of Job as it is in the Bible but portrayed in a present day scenario. “Job went through lots of trials and lost everything he had but did not lose his faith. God always triumphs over the evil.”
Mr Christian, lecturer at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) and musician, added that most Christians believe suffering is the sure route to receiving God’s blessings, and as their faith grows, so does the confidence that individual life is contributing in some small way to a larger story.
The main character of the movie is Joseph Oliver Brown (whose initials spell out “JOB”). The screen play was written and directed by Mr Nate Grant, a former cinematography teacher at the Chicago State University.
Mr Christian also wrote the title track for the movie ‘For Your Good’. The song was performed by local band 3G's of which he is the manager.
The first 25 persons attending the premiere of the movie will be given a free autograph CD of ‘For Your Good’.
Bishop John I. Cline is the Executive Producer of the film that attracted a cast of professional actors.
