VG man allegedly stabs girlfriend during heated argument
According to reports reaching our newsroom, a 22-year-old man is accused of stabbing his girlfriend at Crabbe Hill.
The victim was reportedly taken to Nurse Iris O’Neal Medical Centre where she received multiple stitches to a wound on her shoulder.
She was subsequently discharged as the injury was not deemed to be life-threatening.
The incident allegedly occurred sometime between 9:30 am and 11:00 am yesterday.
The accused has been taken into police custody, according to reports reaching our newsroom.
Man chops uncle on neck
It was on May 18, 2020, that a man was chopped in the neck on Virgin Gorda and had to be rushed to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
The perpetrator has been identified as Renaud Matthew, 29, of Lime Tree Ghut in Gun Creek.
The person wounded was Mr Matthew's uncle, Mr Tobias Prince, of the same address.
Mr Matthew, who claimed to be schizophrenic, was remanded when he made his first appearance in the Magistrate’s Court on May 22, 2020.
