BELLE VUE, Tortola, VI- A vehicle mysteriously caught on fire this afternoon, November 6, 2016 at Belle Vue, Tortola.

According to reports reaching this news site, it was around 3:30 P.M. when the owner of a Dodge Nitro vehicle saw fire coming from under the vehicle's bonnet, forcing him to abandon it.

Shortly afer the man's automobile of 9 years was engulfed in flames.

The Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Services was called in but was unable to save the vehicle from complete destruction.

According to the owner of the destroyed vehicle, no valuables were inside.

It was noted that the vehicle was recently returned from the mechanic shop.

      nah this wasn't the first nitro to burn in the BVI, but those vehicles look like they have that trend, whenever they get electrical problems.
