ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A multiple vehicle accident occurred some minutes ago today July 9, 2015 on de Castro Street in Road Town leaving persons stunned that their parked vehicles are now heavily damaged.

The accident occurred sometime around 5:25 PM and allegedly was caused by one vehicle which slammed into another and as a result that vehicle hit one parked vehicle setting off a chain reaction and causing damage to at least three other parked vehicles. Those vehicles were in the parking lot of Coverdale Trust Services Limited.

When this news site arrived on the scene a van was pointed to as the vehicle that ran into a white van which in turn hit the other parked vehicles.

Ranks from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force were on the scene conducting their investigations and taking the necessary measurements on the road in relation to the vehicles involved in the accident.

Bewildered vehicle owners whose vehicles were parked and received damage due to the accident were also there giving statements to the police as were the drivers of the two vehicles that were being driven at the time of the accident.

According to reports there were no injuries as a result of the accident. It is not clear whether the driver of the errant vehicle lost control causing that vehicle to slam into the other setting off the chain reaction with the parked vehicles.
