The cross walks in Saint Thomas etc. are located in the area of traffic lights. Here in this 4 x 4 place they are anywhere and everywhere. Point being ai never just assume someone will stop. I look up and down making sure that drivers see me before I proceed to cross the road on the. Ross walk.

Because we don't have traffic lights anywhere and everywhere, they have to be placed elsewhere. St Thomas my foot!! Cross walks are to be placed in different areas of the territory, not just at traffic light areas only. If there were none elsewhere, you would still complain. Struuups ..... It is my hope that the lady fully recovers, and that we drivers be more careful on the roads and mindful of pedestrians.

I told you to use the name Matthew, Mark, or Luke: John is already being used. Why can't you think of your own handle?

Not saying that this is the case in the senior's experience but...some of these pedestrians need to cross the road with a bit more purpose instead of looking into their phones, having casual conversations with his or her friend/family or basically modeling on the cross walk.
As a driver I've seen too many times a number of individuals doing all of the above (no not at the same time for you nit pickers) and then watching you the diver as if to convey "my walking slowly is much more important than you having anywhere to go".
People please understand that although we all need to be more considerate, not all brakes work 100% of the time.
Speedy recovery to you Mrs. or Ms. Shortt.
