UPDATE: Tropical disturbance 42 in the eastern Atlantic

DDM Forecast

Disturbance 42 is along 27W in the eastern Atlantic or approximately 400 miles west south-west of the Cape Verde Islands. It is moving west at about 15 mph.

Forecasters think that this system will gradually develop over the next several days.

This system could be a potential threat to the northeastern Caribbean Sea late this coming weekend.

According to the National Hurricane Centre the Disturbance has gradually become better organized today and environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for slow development during the next couple of days.

Presently the system has a medium 30% chance of becoming a Tropical Cyclone during the next 48hrs.
