ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - When she arrived at the Bobby’s Supermarket Parking Lot she was in all smiles and surrounded by congratulating friends but as she left, she was in fountain of tears and being consoled by friends.

It was considered a 'Happy night turned sad' for Ms Hazel Riley. It was the night that LIME closed its curtains on one of their largest promotions in the Virgin Islands as they giveaway lump sum amounts of cash to lucky customers.

While from the first giveaway persons were winning $5K cash at the final night of the promotion, yesterday October 3, 2014 they dished out $10k to at a massive close out entertainment programme at the Bobby’s Supermarket Parking lot.

Ms Riley's phone number was pulled at a single go and as she responded when her phone made just about two or three rings. The fact that she was at the time on the island of Tortola the 45 minutes alloted in the rules for her to get to the venue of the draw were more than enough. In less than half an hour she was on spot.

Surrounded by friends and other well-wishers including the management and staff of LIME - Mr Sean Auguste, Kareem Nelson-Hull and other, Ms Riley was the happiest and luckiest woman around.

But her emotional status quickly changed from happy to sad and one of mourning when as the LIME team was on stage with her verifying her identity and phone number, the phone rang and it was one call that she stopped the process to accept.

It was a very close relative on the other end bearing sad news that one of her beloved nephews in the USA lost the battle to the dreaded disease cancer.

From that moment she clutched to Mr Auguste and burst into tears. Many thought they were tears of joy but it was the opposite.

This news site learned that‎ the woman was aware of her nephew's fight and was preparing to go visit him in the new week. She never got the chance to get to support him in his fight and now she is planning for his final departure.

The LIME management was a tower of strength to Ms Riley as they did their best to console her while at the venue of the draw. Though lost for words Mr Auguste, moved with compassion, embraced her and allowed her to exhale for as long as she needed and until she found the strength to walk off the stage into the arms of supporters who were on the ground at the time and they led her safely to her home.

She was not given her winning cash on the spot but all arrangements were put in place for her to collect it from the safe keeping of LIME at her convenience.
