What was he suppose to warn him that he was going to be shot, or tell the shooter not to do it please? Help me out the commissioner's job is to start an investigation not walk up to potential law breakers and tell them not to do it.

We need a plain clothes under cover unit of 6 people, who report directly to the commissioner.. 3 in the day 3 at nights, main focus is to mingle and gather information. They take part in no arrest. Anyone that cover get exposed get replaced.. This is my solution. We need to save our islands.

3 people on 12 hour shifts policing 24+ square miles can only equal a FAIL.

@ My solution: the BVI already have a set of informers: the only time you see the lawful police in your village is to conduct an investigation; you need to see the police before the crimes are committed

I understand where you are coming from but my question is how long will those individuals mingle and gather? The Virgin Islands are too small for activities of such to take place. For instance, currently there are undercover police officers in rental vehicles both black and white. Don't you think the community doesn't know? Like really! There are many unsolved crimes that many individuals may be aware of. However, they do not want to report to the police force because they do not have trust and faith in them.

6 were arived at for 3 reasons. 1/ Finance. 2/ its the minimum needed for a test programme..3 too many cooks spoil the pot...If you select the right people, the right talent and passion to solve crimes 6 maybe too much..

This is often the issue with a democracy with people having no fear of the law. We need a few years to cast a heavy hand on any thing that doesn't fit what a good society believe is right. In a world rule by me the slightest sign of not following the rules you would go missing!!!!!

You earn your right to live free!!!!

Well well, I don't know why we didn't listen to that guy who ran for Politics in 2011. He promote No more Hore houses and Rum bars. But he was right, it seems like all the drama is influenced by these environments.

This is like shooting number 4 for the week; we use to have one shooting per year....black-on-black crime; when will our people learn....at this rate the BVI will have a generation that will not live to see 25 years; our young brothers just injuring each other and over some simple dumb stuff....when the revolution start there will be no solders(whites loving this)

If ayo start following the laws and deporting troublemakers and barring them from coming in thqt would make a big difference. That includes those born in the usvi. Its a set of lawlessness going on around our shores. Ban deh ra*& from here. This is a war which will only get worse.

@ Wize up: I beg to differ but it all depends on which side of the fence you sitting on.....once you live in the BVI does it matter who have the gun or should an effort be made to fix the isuue: I will say to you; gun shot respects no one ( just for your information; white folks here have guns as well... But people like you see mr white as God so they does no wrong!!!)

This is serious folks. If we as Virgin Islands to act to protect ours we will be in trouble. We don't need no police man from England d to come here to tell us anything. Our job is to use the police by assisting them to keep our country safe. Trust me if we don't check ourself in a few years ayo go sing we couldda and wouldda do this and that. government nor police can do this by themselves. This is our country de man and the people in it or guest it is our responsibility to ensure our kids have something of true value.

best comment... like many cultures the problems lies within and only locally they can be solved... education, better opportunities, arts and social programs available to the young generation and so on... many cultures around the world were able to be peaceful and progress while taking care of themselves... i wanna add that tv is really a bad influence on all of us, buy this buy that etc makes people wanting to have what they dont need... the news are all controlled and manipulated to one see only what ''they'' want us to learn... mostly lies. cheers and ll the best
