VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- The police officer who was shot in the leg on Virgin Gorda on Friday, April 17, 2020, by an unknown assailant had allegedly returned fire, according to new information reaching Virgin Islands News Online (VINO).

Reports are that officer Shawn Williams was shot in one of his legs whilst in Spring Bay, Virgin Gorda.

Our well-placed sources in the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) have disclosed that Officer Williams is claiming he had dropped off his son at a certain location and was heading to his home when he stopped at Spring Bay to urinate.

Shooter’s face was covered

He alleged hearing a rustling sound in the bush and before he could have investigated, a tall male in all black, with his face covered, shot at him, hitting him in the leg.

It is alleged that the officer, who is permitted to carry a firearm, drew his weapon and shot at the individual but was not sure if the person was hit.

The officer then drove himself to the Nurse Iris O’Neal Health Facility and was subsequently transported to Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital.

According to our information, the RVIPF is treating the incident as an Attempted Murder of a police officer.

I strongly condemned this attack on any law enforcement officers. This shows that some members of our society have no respect for the rules of law. I called on members of the public to assist the police in their investigations surrounding this matter. We must remember that our officers have a duty of care which includes the protection of life and property and the preservation of the Queen's peace. What is the justifications for you Coward to shoot and injured the police? Officer our prayers are with you and we ask for speedily recovery in Jesus name.

I would like to wish Officer Williams a speedy recovery. I will await the facts but if the reports are true this is attempted murder and I hear a blogger saying they should have thrown him in(meaning killed him) shows how much evil exists here. Let us hope that the perpetrators are brought swiftly to justice. Cannot tolerate this kind of behavior in our society.

I write to publicly condemn this unlawful attack of atrocity, on a police officer, acting in the execution of his lawful duties, according to law.
When police officers are attacked in the line of their duties or under circumstances where the attacker is fully aware that it was a police officer, then the rest you, members of the public, blogging and supporting criminals, can start going into hiding.
    WHY?
Any criminologist with tell you that, when police is under attack, you the citizens are also under attack.

Generally, people who rejoice for an incident, resulting in injuries to a police officer, were never the victim of a violent crime by criminals, who come to kill, rape and still.
Furthermore, persons who are involved in criminal activites, are fully aware of the consequences of their criminality.
They know that it is the police, who will first arrest them and take them before the court to be tried, and be judged for the offence.
Terrorism begins with a thought of radicalism towards authority in society.
I say to the good citizens of the BVI,those of you who are not planning of committing any criminal offence,or those of you,who have property, business etc,to be protected by the police, never make that mistake to let a "shooter-of-a-police-officer" feel welcome in your society.
The minute you do that, you are opening your doors to domestic terrorism.Criminals want public support,to survive.
What criminals want to see,is a breakdown of the criminal justice system, and the criminals in the BVI know the first enforcers of the law,is the police.
So,if you attack the police, then it is easier to attack members of the public, who are more vulnerable.
I hereby send a warning to persons who seem to justify this shooting of Her Majesty's Royal Police Officer:
    DON'T SUPPORT IT!
This is an attempted murder of the Queen's Police Officer.

Remember your oath of office; officers. It's an oath to serve the Queen.

Hold the Bible and repeat after me:-

["I Shawn Williams do swear that I will well and truly serve Our Sovereign Lady the Queen,Her Heirs and Successors as a member of the Police Force in the Territory of the Virgin Islands without favour or affection, malice or ill-will;and I will cause Her Majesty's peace to be preserved, and will prevent to the utmost of my power, offences against the same;and that, during any time that I do or may hereafter hold any appointment in the Police Force I will to the best of my knowledge and skill discharge all the duties thereof faithfully according to law"]

With this oath of office, to serve our Sovereign Lady the Queen, taken by this young officer,
I would like to call on His Excellency, The Governor [The Queen's representatives] in the BVI,to condemn,on behalf of Her Majesty, this malicious, and outrageous, attack on Her Majesty's Police Officer.

Secretary of State,UK,must be informed immediately,of this act of lawlessness in Her Majesty's BVI.

I hereby declare, this attack ["An act of domestic terrorism"] and parliament must make laws,to make provisions,to increase the sentences of gun-offences,to ten years mandatory prison term AND one hundred thousand dollar fine,to be paid forthwith or in default a further five years in prison,to run CONSECUTIVELY.
God save the Queen, and Her Police Officers.

    Serve your country officer.

My Oxford dictionary defines the words, COLONY, COLONIZATION, and COLONIALISM [all together] meaning the same thing with different figure of speech.
Let us bring in the BVI school students, to join so that they don't be mislead about their true sovereignty.
We have refused to accept that the BVI is a colony of great Britain,[UK] but with its own Constitution.
98% of persons residing in the BVI,do not have a copy of the BVI Constitution, to even understand their basic fundamental human rights and freedoms, and the provisions for their enforcement.
We come on this democratic news site to blogg, some of bloggs make no sense, but because vino entertains every reader and viewer, vino would nonetheless publish your bloggs.its a free and democratic society.
And that is good for justice,so that the world can see our level of ignorance in the bvi.
First of all,the BVI is not an independent country, with a local president or a local governor general.
The BVI is a colony of the United Kingdom, therefore,we are still under british colonization, thus we are still under colonism. His Excellency, the Governor is the QUEEN'S REPRESENTATIVES [head of state in the bvi]
In the BVI,we play so much boaster, calling other caribbean people- I-LAN-MAN, but we are ashamed to openly call Her Majesty-The Queen, our supreme leader and monarch.I am proud to be a citizen of Her Majesty.
Colony(a noun) "A country settled-in and developed by another and remaining under its control".
All the boaster we making in the BVI,I am proud to be a citizen of the BVI,and also a citizen of our colonial-master [The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland] formerly called Great Britain,
Some of you are tooo daaam hypocrite: I am proud of our UK- SOUVEREIGNTY!
In 2020, I want to remain under UK colonialism.
God save the Queen and Her Royal Police Officers

This story seems to be a big lie.

He said he was driving and stopped to pee where someone just happened to be in that exact random location?

And they only shot at an armed officer once?

And they just so happened to escape in to thin air.

Yea right. More likely he shot himself or went to do a drug deal while on duty.

Especially a police with a gun? Public urination is against the law in the BVI. SO good thing policeman had 2 hands cuz one was busy. Shot in leg? Hmmmm.
