UPDATE: Police confirm death of tourist @ The Indians
Virgin Islands News Online had first and accurately reported that an elderly Caucasian male had been pulled from the water and given CPR before being taken to hospital.
However, Drayton said last evening, March 1, 2016: “Yes. We can confirm the sudden death of a male. We do not have details surrounding his death at this point.”

Elderly man encounters difficulties @ The Indians
This news site can report that a tourist today March 1, 2016 encountered difficulties while swimming at The Indians, the uninhabited small archipelago of islets located west of the main island of Tortola in the [British] Virgin Islands, and had to be taken to hospital.
According to a reliable source, the Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) were called in after reports were made of a man struggling in the water.
According to the same source, a doctor on the scene performing CPR on the person, said to be an elderly Caucasian male.
VISAR staff reportedly then took the man to Tortola where an ambulance rushed the man to Peebles Hospital.
However, it could not be readily confirmed what state the man was in up to post time but this news site was told that CPR efforts were ongoing for about 30 minutes prior to the ambulance taking the man to hospital.
Efforts to seek confirmation from Police Information and Press Officer Diane Drayton were unsuccessful up to post time.
