SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- After leading Albion to a win over Tune Squad at the Sea Cows Bay Basketball Court on Friday February 9, 2018 Kymal T. Pancho put in another heroic effort to take his team to victory over Cherry Ghut on Saturday February 10, 2018 at the same venue.

Cherry Ghut were enjoying a one-point lead over Albion, 25-24, when rain stopped play in the 3rd quarter on Friday; however, Albion ended up winning 43-36 when the exhibition encounter was continued on Saturday.

Panchoo again stamped his authority en route to 20 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 assists. Amarlee Glasgow also had a good game, registering 14 points.

The leading scorers for Cherry Ghut were Jamar A. Thomas, who netted 20 points, and Donnar D. Henry, who had 6 points.

Cherry Ghut rebounds

Cherry Ghut; however, quickly rebounded from the defeat to Albion with a 31-20 defeat of Tune Squad in the second game on February 10, 2018.

Jamar A. Thomas led Cherry Ghut with 22 points while Donnar .J. Henry had 7 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals.
Top Scorers for Tune Squad were Leeshawn L. Thomas 8 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals.

Shae'quon S. Spruave finished with 4 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

The exhibition games were organised by Mr Milton C. McLean of the Sea Cows Bay Basketball Club.

Panchoo & Albion stop Tune Squad in SCBBC exhibition encounter

Basketball action continued at the Sea Cows Bay Basketball Court yesterday, Friday February 9, 2018 with two scheduled exhibition games organised by the Sea Cows Bay Basketball Club (SCBBC); however, one was stopped by rain.

In the game completed, Albion made the best of the weather conditions to stop the rhythm of Tune Squad, 42-30.

Kymal Panchoo led Albion’s charge with a dominating display of all round basketball. He netted 22 points, grabbed a whopping 18 rebounds, made 9 steals and had 2 assists.

Amarlee Glasgow had 9 points, 7 rebounds and K’Von Thomas chipped in with 6 points.

Tune Squad’s valiant but vain fight was spearheaded by Shaequon Spruave, who ended with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 assists.

Both Leeshawn Thomas and Brandon Wynter had six points.

Cherry Ghut & Albion to resume battle today

In the second scheduled battle of the day, Cherry Ghut was enjoying a one-point lead over Albion, 25-24, when rain stopped play in the 3rd quarter.

The rest of the game will be played today, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 3:00 P.M.

Tune Squad and Cherry Ghut will face each other from 4:00 P.M.
