ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- One Love and Ballstarz advanced to the second round of the 2013 Wendol Williams Cup, although in contrasting fashion at the Virgin Gorda Recreation Ground on Sunday November 17, 2013.

A no-show by Haitian Stars saw Ballstarz getting a walkover win while One Love easily disposed of Wolues 4-1 in wet conditions.

The rivalry between One Love and Ballstarz will continue in the second round as they are slated to face each other. One Love edged the youngsters 1-nil in the semi-finals of the recently concluded Virgin Gorda Cup.

Play will continue on November 24 with Rebels tackling VG United and 2013 Virgin Gorda Cup champions Sugar Boyz facing Panthers as they begin their defence of the Wendol Williams Cup.

Old Madrid have been drawn to play Islanders on December 1, 2013. There have been unconfirmed reports, however, that Islanders are not keen to participate in this tournament following their booting from the Virgin Gorda Cup for fielding an ineligible player.

One Love & Ballstarz in opening day action of Wendol Williams Cup

The draw has been made for the 2013 Wendol Williams Cup and it will be Ballstarz and Haitian Stars who will clash in the opening game of the memorial competition to be played on Virgin Gorda from Sunday November 17, 2013.

Ballstarz will be looking to bounce back from their surprise loss to One Love in the semi-finals of the just concluded 2013 Virgin Gorda Cup while the Haitian Stars will be hoping to bring back some respect to the team following their humiliating 6-nil defeated at the hands of Sugar Boyz a few weeks ago.

2013 Virgin Gorda Cup finalists, One Love will also be involved in opening day action as they are slated to play Wolues.

Play will continue on November 24 with Rebels tackling VG United and 2013 Virgin Gorda Cup champions Sugar Boyz facing Panthers as they begin their defence of the Wendol Williams Cup.

Old Madrid have been drawn to play Islanders on December 1, 2013.
