Because VIslanders are not natural born killers is the reason.
Remember too that birthed in the VI does not qualify as local.

@Nonsense where did you that s@#$ from. They are worst than natural born killers. If you have balls do a survey of all the drug infested neighborhoods and you will discover it's your young local men and women that are destroying one another. They are killing themselves physically
economically, spiritually and morally. It sad that this man had to lost his life so tragically but these men want to live BIG flashing jewelry, nice car etc, they want to out do each other. This is something you so called indigenous people love to do. If your friends have a big house, car etc you want to get one twice bigger..Take responsibility for your own sins and stop blaming other Caribbean people. SO PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT.

Men from our neighboring islands are said to be carrying out hits but yall quick to blame Islanders. I'm sure if alot of you "locals" check your history you too had island relatives. And yall act as If you're some big mainland continent when tortola is a simple dot on the map and is an island it self. DONT FORGET WE ARE CONDSIDERED ISLANDERS TO THOSE IN THE U.S

The bulk of the crimes and the criminals are sons of one or both parents of other Caribbean Islands. The USVI has murder rate in comparison to the Caribbean Islands from whence the criminals originated. FACTS...Also the same in US of America and the UK.

What's wrong with you all. Violence only begot more violence. We are the same black people brought to these islands in ships. Not one is better than the next. Other island people migrate to this island for a better opportunity. There is evil all over it has nothing to do with where your from but your own heart and morals. Them same down island men can say the same about VI men but at the end of the day is the same red blood we all bleed. We are making the devil take control of us and instilling within us hatred for our brothers and sisters. We already have a hard time being black in this world now we have a worst time because the same gangs that were originally form to protect us is now taking more of our black men and putting the rest in jail. We need to unite together cause we are strong when we come together else we would still be slaves today. When we fight against each other like this man we become foolish easy prey. Being bad ain't about guns and how much people you can kill. That's being an idiot, when you can sit down and come up with solutions to make your community better, when you can be counselors for the youths who are falling and pick them back up, when you can be strong when they want us to be weak that's being bad. We have come so far from when our people were worked none stop, beaten and killed yet our blood still running like river in any country we live. Bloody hell man everyone done look down on us like we are stupid and take advantage of us. Stop this hate man and start loving each other. We don't need to agree on everything but one thing we should all agree on is survival.

My condolences to the family. No one deserves to die this way. I pray that the culprit(s) will be brought to justice soon.

On another note, there are too many gun related crimes. The police and customs department need to step up their game. We need to be consistent with stop and search. Let’s make it difficult for these dirty no good bums to conduct their illegal businesses. Additionally, certain areas should have visible police presence on a regular basis (Baughers Bay is one of them).

It is true that police can’t be everywhere. However, it doesn’t mean that they can’t be strategic in having a strong presence in specific areas. The size of the force has been increased significantly. It’s time to make those extra paychecks count.

Word on the street is the person that pull the trigger is a DEAD MAN OR WOMAN WALKING. The green light is getting closer to the target. This is a small Island and as we all know nothing stays secret. All I can say is the law abiding citizens needs to be vigilant of their surroundings because some S**t is getting ready to pop off. The trigger man would be better off going to the police. He would be safer in police custody that getting lit up.

      Wait a second!

As the pen falls everyone knows who kill who from who didn’t. Why didn’t you or the rest go to the authorities if you all knew so much? From the looks of your statement you seem to know what took place. Why didn’t you speak up? Do you have evidence or as always rumors? Now you and the rest are sitting behind screens typing your fingers off. Does that make sense?

What most of you all do is sit in your homes, work places and groups chats and spread rumors. No one never ask to their self wait is it true? Rumors are carried by haters and spread by fools. You all are so busy in people business that you fail at your own.

Probable the biggest hindance against crime is mouth rattling rather than accepting that God our Creator is our only defence against the adversaries of love. Our greatest enemy are unseen spirits the influence the minds of humans, and move those that are willing to commit crimes. My Condelence to the family, relative, and friends of the deceased man. This up serge of crimes lately are caused by an up serge of UNGODLY sin. Blamming the RVIPF, blamming bars, blamming Covid-19, blamming Donald Trump, blamming lockdowns, blaimmings politions, blammings this, blamming some people's country of birth, blaimming the colour of their skins, blamming their physical appearance, and such like will not ease or reverse what are negatively happing among us. The first thing we need to do accept blame on ourselves. And after that we need to reconised and respect our Creator's way, and changed change direction to His. If we don't, the same will continue happening. until goodly behavious improve towards God and man. It is costing us millions of unnesessary dollars fighting crimes, when all we need to do is turn to God for His help. In other words, delete selfishness out of our minds, and practice to God and man our human equai. God's blessing to all.

It is high regetible, but not unexpected to some others and me that believe Bible Prophecy, that in the beginning year, 2020, of the third decade of the New Milleneum that crime rate has risen, throughout the world over the first and second decade of same. Many are surprise, and even some are shocked at these happenings. I am not surprise nor am I shocked. Becaused, unlike many, I know that as a country people plunge deeper in the spititual quicksand of sin, the only result will be higher rate of violent crimes, chaos, and others desasters. The floods of 2015 August Monday that brought the exotic style festival to a halt was a warning from God to us. The 2017 hurricane that devastated our country was another warning. Sadly, we continue on our desired path. Covid-19 is current. The majority of the citizens that are living in the B.V.I care little about God's righteous way. Many of us go to church to hear the written Word printed in a Volume Book called The Bible, but care not to take it seriously. Because we have by large disregarded Word, we have allowed Him no other choice but to let eat the bitter fruit of our doings. Higher crimes and worst are the consequences of our wrong choices. May God shows us mercy by His compassionate grace. Until then, the worst is yet to come. I offer condolence to the family and friends of the deceased person. May God by the strength comfort your hearts eith His genuine love. Amen. November 7, 2020 05:09.

You are the same type of people who call on God, The Creator when something bad happens.

Psalm 14:1 Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!

2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world (satan) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Nobody deserves to be taken out like a dog, what about his child and family. Sometimes we need to turn the other cheek.

It is nearly mathematically impossible for there to be no witnesses. Come on let's try to catch the killer!

So if he is a revenge killing, then another person going to be a revenge killing, and the other person will be a revenge killing. When will it Stop.. We can't continue like this. The BVI and it's tourism and financial services will suffer..then all of us will feel it.... Police need to step their Stop and search and house search up.. Too much drugs and guns equal killing...

My Condolences to Mcmaster family! ET this touch my heart!
This is just heart breaking because you never want to see anyone lose their life in this manner. And it so sad that the little B.V.I is headed in the direction were crime such as this is happening in broad day light. Can you imagine from what is being said in the street the type of guns getting into the B.V.I because when you enter the B.V.I custom officers don't check a person belongings properly. ( and I can say so because we all know it the truth)
My hope is that there are cameras that caught whoever committed this crime and if not the government starts to put cameras in main travel areas on these little island. And beef up police presence on the island. This is getting out of control!

And when the cops do their searches on the gunmen ppl are the first to come on here and bring up harassment and why the expat officers don’t leave our local boys alone. If it has stop and search what’s app messages circulate about the area of the stop and search. People stop living in a dreamworld if you feel the police alone could fight crime. It is a community effort.

My condolences go out to the family. I hope you get some comfort in knowing that he's in a better place. I am also glad that the family did not have to go through seeing their lioveone incident streaming by spectators. Thank God someone did their job in this case and taped off the scene in a timely manner. It's very troubling when spectators stream gruesome scenes of violence and don't think twice about the additional pain they are inflicting on the family. These people show no respect or descency for the victims or their families. This type of behavior has to stop right away. Fines should be attached to people practicing such behavior.
