UPDATE: Man injured in accident @ SCB was allegedly going to buy water
Virgin Islands News Online first reported on the incident earlier today, April 22, 2020.
New information reaching Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) from police sources; however, is that the man, who reportedly resides at Skelton Hill, was heading to Nanny Cay to buy water when his motorbike, a 125 Yamaha, hit a curb in the vicinity of Nanny Cay and he was thrown to the ground.
He received injuries to his left knee, left shin and his chest
It is unclear if the man was in possession of a curfew pass.
A 24-hour curfew is in place until April 25, 2020.
On Wednesday, April 8, 2020, Yakeem Frett, a 23-year-old man from Long Look, Tortola, was tased by police and charged for Breach of Curfew while reportedly going to fill a bottle of drinking water.
Frett was also charged for Resisting Arrest.

Man injured in SCB accident allegedly involving motor scooter

On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, around 4:20 pm, there was an accident in Sea Cows Bay, between the areas known as ‘Elevator Hill’ and the entrance of Nanny Cay, on the main island of Tortola.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are still unclear; however, some are claiming a motor scooter was also involved, despite no sign of a motor scooter at the scene of the accident when persons gathered to assist.
Conflicting reports are that a man may have fallen off his motor scooter or may have been hit by a motor scooter.
One Caucasian male was injured and was seen bleeding on the roadside before a Good Samaritan stopped by to offer assistance.
The injured man was taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital in the capital, Road Town, by ambulance.
