Residents appeal for removal of fallen CCT tower in Chalwell Estate

A tower reportedly belonging to CCT Global Communications at Chalwell Estate on Tortola was felled during the passage of Hurricane Irma on September 6, 2017 and its presence still there is annoying residents who have been blocked from driving their vehicles to their apartments in the area.

One affected resident told this news site he has been approacing personnel from CCT for the tower to be cleared from the roadway to no avail.

"Don't care how much I call [CCT], no matter what I have been doing, nothing is happening, no body ain't studying me," a frustrated Mr Dion J. Anselm told this news site on October 17, 2017.

Mr Anselm said he decided to relate his story to this news site because he wants CCT to know that it is "a serious matter."

Some five homes have been affected by the fallen tower blocking the road.

"We have to be walking home most of the time, a whole long way," said Mr Anselm, adding that it is even more frustrating when it rains.

Meanwhile, efforts to reach the management of CCT were not successful up to time of publication.

So after one day in the news CCT finally cleared the road for the residents of Chalwell. Thank you Mr. Anselm. Sometimes you have to put people to shame for them to do what is right.
