Former VI First Lady Mrs. Edris O'Neal hospitalized

VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI - Former Virgin Islands First Lady Mrs Edris O'Neal OBE, wife of former Premier and current Leader of the Opposition Hon Ralph T. O'Neal‎ OBE, is currently hospitalized.

This was announced a short while ago this evening June 18, 2014 at the Virgin Islands Party’s (VIP) first community meeting since their recent internal election on May 28, 2014.

Chairperson of the meeting VIP President Carvin Malone made the announcement to the full house at the general meeting held at the Ashford Waters Community Centre, Virgin Gorda.

This was further confirmed by Chairman of the VIP Honourable Julian Fraser RA (R3) who recalled communicating with Hon O'Neal a few days ago and was told that his wife was in bed.

He subsequently called again today and was reminded that Mrs O'Neal was hospitalized.

Hon Fraser told the gathering that there is no doubt that had Hon O'Neal not have the current challenge of his wife being hospitalized he would have certainly been present at the meeting.

Both Hon Fraser and President Malone conveyed the party’s prayers and support for the former First Lady.
