How the story says no information at this time and still have a photo of the man they found? This news site is so unprofessional.

The reason the news said no info at this time means, they don't know how he died or how and why his body turned up where it was.

I guess it's easy for us to be "Monday morning Quarterbacks or Armchair critics" to all the problems facing the BVI, however it'll take a combine effort by the Government, Police, people and Opposition to come up with proper strategies to get Crime under control!

@ police: I do not mean to disrespectful to anyone; but some folks came to the BVI from places were crime and violent crimes are a daily something BUT I remember when the BVI had a murder once every 10 years so these gun crimes, robbing and shooting are very strange for the old-school folks: we most certainly not accustom this life style....people like this "police" charter may be accustom to such life style for "police" its a normal every day thing

Rip. Initially on our first encounter, he spoke with such intelligence! I said to myself, " This guy has a promising future!" Fast forward a couple years after I realized that he had addiction/s. Please all these negative comments are not necessary. His battle was a public one that all eyes have seen but God knows we all have personal battles that only our Creator hath seen. Alcohol addiction is a serious problem! Lots of bars everywhere you turn and not sufficient facilities to assist with the problem. Mind you this is not unique to the BVI. Sadly it exists in most countries

You murderer your time and your family's time will come. As sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. To Lilibeth and Starky Ceasor and the rest of the family, my deepest condolences. @Hmmm, trouble maker or not, they did not have to do what they did to him. Everyone knew the man had head problems. For once understand when a person is acting the way he did, something is mentally wrong. Well, Tortola don't take mental illness as something serious. People in Tortola think mental illness is joke and the person is stupid or a problem. At least he is not suffering any more.

I taught Merlin in Form 3 at then BVI high.He was an intelligent, respectful young man who spoke about a bright future. How his circumstances have changed. This is so sad. He always wanted to do better when one spoke to him or he begged for money. What a sad situation. When your neighbor's house on fire wet your own. Too many killings for this small BVI going unsolved. Merlin may have been an open bum-but there are "bums" dressed up in fancy clothing and living fancy lives and getting away with murder. My appeal to the community-The Commissioner cannot do it without the help of people who knows what is happening and is keeping silent.

Merlin was never a bum, he was and always a true friend but some times in life people go a stray for different reason
he was Mandinka boy from high school day's but the last time I talk to Crabbe, he told me Merlin was going away to get help, as I can see the pain in his eyes when he talk about merlin condition. but Crabbe told me merlin condition was not abut money but it was when merlin was ready to accepted help he said yow as much as I wanted to help merlin, you can't help no one until they make up there mind that they will accepted help

Crabbe I know you hold merlin back until the end but at the same time I know there onlyso much a friend can do

Crabbe I know he was your right hand man from school day's but right now I will tell you what you always tell me, hold your head up and stay strong because behind every dark cloud, there is a brighter day

Just because he use to beg for money or food mean he was a bad person. And I hate when people use to call him bum, idiot, stupid and so on. he had his problems but he did not deserve what was done to him. Never look down on anyone or refuse them something to eat. We are all one paycheck away from the streets or going hungry.

That is so true. The ones who use to mistreat him and say bad things about him it will come back to them. A lot of mental ill people use alcohol and drugs to fight and try to forget the things that is going on in there head.I know because one of my nephews have mental problems and he use to do the same thing with the drinking and drugs. He said demons was talking in his head so he use to drink and do drugs to make them stop and go away and when they did not, it use to make him violent.
