Broken electrical hanging over Little Dix hill

EAST END, Tortola, VI - Imminent danger looms at Little Dix Hill as traffic and pedestrians are passing under a broken electrical pole in the vicinity of the Upper Room Church.

This news site stumbled on the dangerous situation and has made several unsuccessful calls to the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) General Manager Mr Leroy Abraham and Deputy General Manager Henry Creque in an attempt to alert them to the situation.

The internal receptionist of the entity also attempted to reach the T&D Engineer Ms Symorne Penn to no avail.

A young lady was driving down Little Dix Hill and hit the pole full force today. The police and an ambulance as well as a tow truck came to the scene. She was transported to Peebles Hospital and her car towed. As of now we have full power thanks to the men who worked all day on this. Before the accident there was nothing wrong with the pole and electricity worked fast to fix the problem.

The receptionist needs training. All he or she was supposed to say is that the information has been noted and will be dealt with. You just don't let anyone who calls know that you can't reach the manager.
