Two men, said to be Belongers of the Virgin Islands, have been arrested and charged for alleged Illegal Entry.

Pedro J. Samuel of Cane Garden Bay and Danny Dennevil of Lower Estate, both on the main island of Tortola, were arrested on August 11, 2020.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, the men were observed in a white and brown dinghy  travelling along the coast from St John, US Virgin Islands across the Sir Francis Drake's Channel in the direction of Frenchman's Cay, West End.

Good jobs officers.Kudos!!!. I hope you all wear protective wear when apprehending these people.. this is exactly what I keep saying that our borders are not safe.. so many cays and little islands; this is what makes us fair game for persons to enter illegally and potentially put us all at risk for the virus and other things, but Lord I pray your Covering of continued protection..

BVI does not have any closed borders. It's borders are always wide open. That is why the country will need 24 hour patrolers

I am so tired of these selfish people who choose to put the entire community at risk by entering illegally from the USVI.

Good work, when will these people learn that they are being watched. The cases is spiking in the USVI and all it takes is one person to bring it over.

Good on our vigilant patrols. Now fine them both AND get them to pay for their quarantine. Only way to deter others is to make an example of people who think they're above the law.

Wow! They caught someone? I'm shocked. People around West End have been completely ignoring the so-called "restricted navigation area" around West End. Don't tell me all the go-fasts roaring through are "fishermen". It's a symptom of the arrogance regarding any rules, and the complete disdain in which the police are held.

The government needs to amend the immigration Act to address revoking Belonger status and tackling this type of threat to national security and public safety.
