ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Police have charged two men for the robbery of a male outside the Sports Club in Pasea Estate last Tuesday afternoon, October 18, 2016.

Gregory Alleyne Jr. and Shaun Scatliffe, both of Sea Cows Bay, are scheduled to appear in Magistrate’s Court tomorrow for their first appearance before the court.

The victim reported that around 2:30 P.M. last Tuesday, two assailants, one with a firearm, approached him while inside his parked vehicle.

One assailant proceeded to take the victim’s wrist watch, cellular and cash while the other struck him in his head causing injury. The victim was treated at Peebles Hospital and discharged.

Commissioner of Police Michael Matthews commended his officers for their swift actions in apprehending the two suspects in less than a week of the incident.

Man robbed @ gunpoint outside Tortola Sports Club

Police are investigating a robbery of a male outside the Tortola Sports Club in Pasea Estate yesterday afternoon, October 18, 2016.

The victim reported that around 2:30 P.M. two assailants, one with a firearm, approached him while inside his parked vehicle. One assailant proceeded to take his wrist watch, cellular and cash while the other struck him in his head causing injury. The victim was treated at Peebles Hospital and discharged.

One of the perpetrators is described as heavy and approximately 6’ and while other is around 5’ and slim. Both were between the ages of 25 and 27 years.

Police are appealing to the public for information that could help with inquiries into this incident. Persons can contact CID through the RVIPF 311 or the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339. Persons can also report the information anonymously to Crimestoppers through its Miami-based hotline number 800-TIPS (8477).

    A set of children belonging to members of the force and living in same household as their parents are committing crime: some of them up and down on these motorcycle violating the laws then sleeping in house as members of the force(there is no difference between the upholder and the theif)
