ST. THOMAS, USVI - Two men were shot in the wee hours of Saturday morning, December 7, 2019, in Hospital Ground, St. Thomas, with one of the two victims succumbing to his wounds, sustained during the shooting.

That's according to USVIPD Public Information Officer Toby Derima, who said in a release this morning that officers were notified of the incident at approximately 12:03 a.m., following residents' call to the 911 emergency call centre.

The residents who reported the incident said multiple shots were discharged in the area. Officers were then notified that two gunshot victims were transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center via private vehicle.

Officers travelled to the hospital where they were advised that one of the victims had succumbed to his injuries. The other victim was being treated for his injuries.

The deceased was identified by next of kin as 32-year-old Cedric Henry.
