FAT HOGS BAY, Tortola, VI- Word reaching our newsroom is that a truck ended up on its side in Fat Hogs Bay, on the eastern end of Tortola, today, March 1, 2018.

It is unclear at this time how the incident occurred or whether anyone was seriously injured.

The vehicle ended up on the side of the road heading west and did not impede the flow of traffic.

We will bring more details once obtained.

    Those rubbish trucks just love to go fast. The meore loads to Garbage Mountain, the more the pay. Better roads, more police, stronger discipline (fines). The offials are scared and do not dare.

    take into consideration a lot of things .many of these trucks took a beating from the hurricanes and may not have proper servicing and repairs.many are over worked and over used in terms if overloading also. it is hope all is well with the occupants and may we continue with hope and strong faith in the recovery process.

    Only yesterday they were speeding on Waterfront Drive. I couldn't believe the recklessness. A truck like that one if not it and a yellow one. They are driving closely together. It's even worse when they speeding with debris. Police please put a check on dem men before they hurt or kill somebody. Thank you
