Traffic backed up @ Manuel Reef due to accident

Traffic stalled on the bypass road near Manuel Reef today, September 5, 2016. Photo: Team of Reporters
SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- With traffic this morning, September 5, 2016 drastically increased due to the reopening of public schools in the territory, the last thing anyone needed was for an accident to make them late for school on the first day or late for work on a Monday morning.

Unfortunately, some persons may have been held up due to to an accident on the bypass road at Manuel Reef.

Persons have been frequenting that road to gain access from Manuel Reef to Pieces of Eight and vice versa owing to road works in the area.

And due to the congestion on that already narrow road, it was not surprising that an accident occurred there this morning.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, there were no injuries but plenty of upset faces due to the backed up traffic.

So what really happened was the person in the red jeep was trying to turn into the gap and no one would let them in cause they thought they was trying to skip the line. Turns out that's where they were going. Either way she was on the wrong side of the road, but ppl don't have to be so ignorant....gees...we all were stuck

Utter nonsense! PWD is a failure and the renewal of the Director is much to do with the failures at that department! Road could have been paved in two days max. now we have rain and the whole base is going to be washed away! Skelton dem strike again!

PWD is fun. I like it when the drivers of their vehicles have contests to run down pedestrians or try to run other
vehicles off the road. I can see why the British don't allow machine guns to be mounted in cars in the territories...
    might ruin the meat supply.
