Tortola man Jamal Smith dies in Texas car crash

AUSTIN, Texas, USA- Word reaching our newsroom from our Team of Reporters is that Virgin Islander Jamal Smith died sometime late yesterday, Friday January 27, 2017 as a result of a traffic accident.

Mr Smith, who had recently moved to Texas and was a former employee of Caribbean Cellular Telephone (CCT), has family on Tortola, Virgin Islands and St Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. He was 32 years of age.

The circumstances surrounding the accident that resulted in his death are not clear at this time.
