Top Presenters for CIBC FirstCaribbean Infrastructure Conference in the Bahamas

Nassau, The Bahamas. June 20, 2013. A distinguished cadre of presenters is confirmed for the CIBC FirstCaribbean International Conference, “Public Private Partnerships in Infrastructure Development & Financing”, scheduled for 20th – 21st June, 2013, in Nassau, The Bahamas.

Among them will be the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie, Prime Minister of The Bahamas, and several Ministers of Government, senior public servants and corporate leaders from across the region. The final list of attending delegates includes the Hon Minister for Communication and Works, Mr Mark Vanterpool.

CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank is hosting this conference against a backdrop of the Bank’s success regionally in brokering public and private sector cooperation in generating investment opportunities for, and increasing the availability of, capital for infrastructure development.

Over the past three years, the Bank has arranged, co-arranged or participated in over $2.0 billion in financing of Caribbean corporate entities and sovereigns, making it one of the largest regional financiers.

Some of the ground-breaking transactions included several international bond offers, lease-backed notes and secured credit tenant notes for major public and private sector entities.

Approximately 150 Caribbean leaders and government and private sector officials, investors, representatives of the banking, engineering, legal and other sectors, are confirmed to attend this week’s conference.
