ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – One of the accused in the Daren Allen 'Tiger' Hodge, Marcus Lloyd told the High Court today April 28, 2016 that he did not supply an AK-47 for the murder of Hodge neither was he the mastermind of the murder and robbery.

This is the third trial of the trio for the September 2010 murder of Hodge for which Terrence Abdullah Charles has been tried and sentenced to life imprisonment. The two previous trials had been deemed mistrials after the jury became deadlocked.

Under cross examination by Crown Prosecutor Tiffany R. Scatliffe today, Lloyd denied supplying the guns including an AK-47 and a glock handgun and ammunition for the murder of Hodge.

Lloyd insisted that he and Hodge were friends and that he was not angry with Tiger for badmouthing him in the ghetto, as Scatliffe was suggesting.

He said that this is something that Hodge never did, even though he acknowledged that he gets “cross” when people refer to him as “Ras.”

Turning the heat up, Prosecutor Scatliffe said, “I am suggesting to you that you, [Terrence Abdullah] Charles, Wakeem Guishard and Mitch Christopher planned to make a move on Tiger.”

“I disagree,” responded Lloyd.

“I am suggesting that you were the mastermind of this plan,” said Scatliffe. “I disagree,” said Lloyd. “I am suggesting that you were the one monitoring Tiger,” Scatliffe said. “I disagree,” Lloyd answered.

Scatliffe then suggested that Lloyd was the one who supplied the weapons used in the murder and robbery of Hodge. “I disagree... I never want to hurt Tiger...that was my boy,” Lloyd responded.

Scatliffe again put to Lloyd that he supplied the AK-47 to Christopher, Charles and Guishard. “No My Lady, I never owned an AK-47.

Scatliffe went on to suggest that Lloyd was in the “Ghetto” to stake out Hodge on the night the murder took place.

In the witness box Lloyd denied collecting the guns on the night from Charles, Christopher and Guishard.

“I am suggesting to you that you were a part of the plan to rob and murder 'Tiger',” said Scatliffe. “I disagree,” said Lloyd.

The Prosecution then wrapped up their questioning of Lloyd.

The session ended early today after Guishard decided not to give evidence. While Christopher is not giving evidence he is calling a witness who will not be available until Monday May 2, 2016.
