GREAT HARBOUR, Jost van Dyke, VI – Thousands from all nationalities ushered in the New Year 2019, at Foxy's Tamarind Bar, a world-renowned partying spot on the sister island of Jost van Dyke located in the Virgin Islands (VI).

Dominated by tourists and backed up by locals, the beachfront bar and restaurant delivered the 2019 welcome in a pirate themed setting.

The costumes were epic but not overshadowing the tasty barbecue ribs and chicken, alcohol and most of all, the music.

Hyped crowd

The Deejays had the crowds going but they were no match for the bands, ‘INITY Xplosion’ out of the United States Virgin Islands (USVI), along with local bands ‘Extreme’ & ‘Showtime’.

Topping things up included guest artist, ‘Pressure Buss Pipe’ out of the USVI to keep the crowds hyped.

At 12:00 midnight, the man himself, Philiciano O. Callwood aka ‘Foxy’, took the microphone to bless his supporters and in doing so, acknowledged that he is preparing a big reveal for 2020.

"I am preparing to take a back seat. But I'll tell you, I have big plans for 2020," he said. However, according to Mr Callwood, his plans will remain a surprise until the end of 2019.

I always say if alcohol is legalized, then might as well they legalize marijuana.
I am not a smoker and I drink responsively but too much consumption of alcohol is a serious problem.

Shame how the once classy BVI tourist experience has spiraled downward and pretty much become alcohol fueled day trippers searching for Kenny Chesney. With the imminent collapse of the financial industry, that income could be replaced with a $2 per drink tax. Seriously, these day trippers are already getting screwed with taxes and fees, let’s just pile on an alcohol tax. Idiots will pay it.

Funny, people complaining about drinkers. Problems and people embarassing them selves. Haha.

Maybe foxy's needs to the be smoke spot instead.
